Kim Kardashian has said 'I do' to her basketballer fiancé Kris Humphries in a beautiful sunset ceremony attended by her A-list friends.

The couple tied the knot at 6.30pm in a 30-minute service watched by their families, and celebrity guests including Ryan Seacrest, Lindsay Lohan, Mel B, Eva Longoria, Serena and Venus Williams, Avril Lavigne and Demi Lovato.

Kim's spokesperson revealed the bride wore an ivory custom-designed strapless Vera Wang gown with full tulle skirt, basque waist and hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice and 'epic' train. Vera Wang designed all three of the dresses she wore at the wedding. Kim's veil was jeweled and diamonds dripped down onto her face. The second dress was a Georgette mermaid gown, the third was a black satin gown.

The bride wore her hair up and off her face. Her veil remained off her face for the walk down the aisle with step father Bruce Jenner, and included a jeweled headpiece with diamonds that dripped on to Kim's forehead.

She wore Guiseppe Zanotti shoes, and exchanged weddings rings with Kris designed by her good friend Lorraine Schwartz, who also designed her stunning engagement ring.

Kris wore a white peak lapel tuxedo jacket, black tuxedo pants with white shirt and white bow tie by Ermenegildo Zegna.

Kim's co-maids of honour Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, and bridesmaids Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and Kris' sister Kaela Humphries wore ivory gowns designed by Vera Wang.

Following the ceremony, the action moved to a separate tent with the bride changing into a second Vera Wang mermaid gown with more Chantilly lace on the bodice and hand-cut organza petals on the skirt, with the reality star expected to change into a third creation.

Soul singer Robin Thicke introduced 'Mr and Mrs Humphries' and sang his song 'Angels' for the couple's first dance as husband and wife, then ‘Let's Stay Together’.

The wedding breakfast was made by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck with a starter of buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad basil and tomato chips, and a choice of hand-formed agnolotti with sweet corn mascarpone and summer truffles, or roast chicken with Yukon Gold potato puree, caramelized brussels sprouts and summer truffles for the main course.

After the giant feast, the wedding cake was served. Kim was apparently inspired by Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding cake and reportedly spent $15,000 - $20,000 on her six foot tall cake.

A depiction of Kim and Kris, a pair of letter 'K' facing opposed, lightened with candles was also seen in the garden area

According to wedding guests, Kris whispered to his groomsmen, included his new brothers-in-law Rob Kardashian and Lamar Odom, 'I'm nervous', before his bride arrived at the diamond-encrusted cross at the altar to say "I do."

The order of service included an emotional tribute to Kris Humphries' late grandparents and Kim's late father Robert Kardashian. Kim wrote: 'I so wish my dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle. But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me. I love and miss you, dad.'

A near-stumble as co-maid of honour Kourtney walked down the aisle holding her son and ring bearer Mason caused a gasp from the guests. Luckily, she didn't actually fall and the little tyke garnered plenty of "oohs" and "aahs" from the 440 guests. She steadied herself, though, and little Mason, 21 months, zoomed down the aisle ahead of her.

Just hours before saying her 'I dos', Kim tweeted her fans, telling them: 'Anxious, excited, emotional 3words 2describe what Im feeling right now @KimKardashian I LOVE U tomorrow will b MAGICAL.' She also posted a message on her official website: 'Today is the day! I can’t believe it’s finally here! Thank you so much to everyone who made this day happen!!!!!'

Her mother and manager, Kris Jenner, is also very excited and barely got a wink of sleep last night. Taking to Twitter, she wrote: 'Morning dolls!! Wow @kimkardashian wedding day is finally here! I wanted to sleep in but too excited

The groom also found time to tweet his excitement mere moments before arriving at the altar. Minutes before the 6:30pm sunset ceremony, Kris Humphries wrote on his Twitter page: 'This is it!'

Following the ceremony, bridal designer Vera Wang Tweeted: 'Wow! @KimKardashian What a joyous, beautiful, magical night! Wishing you and Kris all the blessings in the world xx Vera.'

Lindsay Lohan arrived in Santa Barbara last night ahead of the wedding, while Longoria tweeted her excitement, writing: 'So excited for @kimkardashian wedding tomorrow!'

Kim and Kris have confirmed they will not be honeymooning until next year. Kim was already scheduled to begin filming the second series of Kourtney & Kim Take New York in Manhattan before Kris' surprise proposal in May.
So the couple's first home will be the penthouse suite at the Gansevoort Park Avenue.
